LGBTQ communities from across the commonwealth will come together at the State Capitol to demand that our human dignity be given under the law. Community leaders will call for comprehensive LGBTQ civil rights, including non-discrimination, hate crimes, education protections; access to adequate healthcare and HIV/AIDS resources; and support for LGBTQ youth and elders living in poverty and rejection.
This rally is our independent expression in pressing for freedom and justice for LGBTQ Pennsylvanians. We will continue to mourn over Orlando, the violence occurring everyday against LGBTQ people, and call on our state government to address the root causes of violence and discrimination against LGBTQ people. We will do this through love and compassion.
It is also our response.
On June 27th, a large rally against the dignity of LGBTQ Pennsylvanians will take place in the State Capitol, called "Defend My Privacy." Our response the day after in this rally, will be the final word this budget season: together we must "Advance Our Dignity", under the law and within our communities.
